  1. 5 · Jesus calls the humble, merciful and peacemakers blessed. He invites his followers to be salt and light, to reconcile rather than retaliate, and to love even their enemies.
  2. 6 · Give, pray and fast without seeking applause. Jesus teaches prayer to the Father, forgiveness and trust in daily provision. Seek God’s kingdom rather than wealth or anxious control.
  3. 7 · Examine yourself before judging others. Ask God for help, treat others as you wish to be treated, and put Jesus’ words into practice like a house built on rock.
